Baby robins
This baby robin flew the nest a little too early yesterday, we think. He hopped all the way from the tree at our front porch to under the front bumper of my husband’s car, but he really couldn’t fly. His three siblings (the ones in the nest) all flew away just fine. My husband moved it to a safer area, but he was gone an hour later. Maybe he did fly away?

Remember, I told you that a robin built a nest on top of my mourning dove’s nest? Those baby robins (3)flew away last week–I hope. Anyway, I saw no little piles of feathers in the yard. I wonder what the mourning dove will do next spring? She (”Electra”) has come every spring since I moved here–1995.
