PubMed From the PubMed
website: "PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine,
provides access to over 12 million MEDLINE citations back to the
mid-1960's and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to
many sites providing full text articles and other related resources."
RxList.com (The "Patient
Info" link puts the information in non-user-friendly frame
format. I don't use it because I can't see everything. I
prefer the detailed clinical information about the drugs anyway, so after
I search, I click on the drug name in the left-hand panel, not the Patient
Info link.)
Complementary and Alternative Medicine Sites
HerbMed From HerbMed: "Links
an interactive, electronic herbal database – provides hyperlinked
access to the scientific data (including Medline, etc.) underlying the use
of herbs for health. It is an evidence-based information resource for
professionals, researchers, and general public." Includes great
list of related links.
National Center for Complementary
and Alternative Medicine From NCCAM: "Our mission is to support
rigorous research on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), to
train researchers in CAM, and to disseminate information to the public and
professionals on which CAM modalities work, which do not, and why."
