LakeVille [Mich.] football star now faces costly heart surgery

LakeVille football star now faces costly heart surgery: "Ben Mason used to fly down the football field, a tall big-target wideout for the LakeVille High School varsity football team.

Now, a 15-minute game of Hackey Sack leaves the 17-year-old exhausted for up to four hours, often with severe pressure and pain in the middle of his chest.

Ben's fatigue is caused by Marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that puts stress on a patient's eyes, heart, lungs and more."
