Pictures of my Marfan hands
This is a demonstration of the "thumb sign" for the Marfan syndrome. If you can wrap your thumb and forefinger around your wrist and have overlap of at least to your first knuckle, this may indicate the presence of the Marfan syndrome. It does not necessarily mean you have it, and if you don't have the thumb sign, you still may have the Marfan syndrome. It is just one indication of many.
You can see how skinny my wrists are and how long my fingers are.
I can bend in my thumb's middle joint...
...and bend my thumb back...
...and pull it down to my wrist (with help from my other hand). Cool, huh?
